ARCHIVE - CONCERT OF GIGLIOLA BONORA & ANDREA AMBROSINI 24.10.2012

 

 

On 24th of October at 6:00 p.m. in the Museum in Bielsko-Biała a concert of opera music was performed by Gigliola Bonora accompanied by the piano player, Andrea Ambrosini. This concert was to take place in April this year; however it has been postponed due to sickness of the singer.

Gigliola Bonora is a renowned mezzo-soprano, a graduate of the Conservatoire in Ferrara. A chamber music performer participated in many important music reviews, such as: “Music Autumn Como” or “Music Verona”. She performed as a guest with concert bands in Arezzo, Rome, Bari and Verona. She sang in such theatres as: la Fenice in Venice, il Piccinni in Bari, il Paisiello in Lecca, National Theater in Prague, Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, in theatres in Ferrara, Modena, Reggio Emilia and in Bologna. She went on a tour in Czech Republic, Germany and Poland in 2002. Her performances met with great recognition which is proven by such awards as Premi Guido d’Arezzo and Ebe Stignani, la Targa Premio Girolamo Frescobaldi, il Premio S. Giorgio of Ferrara City.

Andrea Ambrosini is an artist born in Livorno who, after leaving secondary school, has devoted himself to piano playing, study of composing and conducting an orchestra. He was cooperating with many outstanding artists, such as Pietro Rigacci or Pietro Bellugi. He worked among others in theatres in Piza, Udine, Modena and Ferrara. He participated in national and foreign concerts. At present he also cooperates with the Conservatoire in Ferrara where he teaches concert music.

 The artists get positive reviews and the approval of an audience all over the world. At the castle in Bielsko-Biała we could listen to excerpts from operas written between XVI and XIX centuries, of such composers as Monteverdi, Vivaldi, Donizetti and Rossini.
